Pretty in Pink

I've been spending a lot of time recently in a sudden burst of wedding planning and am loving every minute of it. If you recall, I've had a couple of ideas when it comes to wedding day inspirations  (a hint of green here, and a pop of red here) but this must be my favourite yet. Sticking with the pop of red palette, I am in love with the soft, romantic feel of nude lace in this Reem Acra gown plus blush pink anemones paired with a fun polka dots and typewritten invitations. It's all coming together! What do you think?

A Pop of Red, Inspired by Saipua

I've been deeply in love with anything that Sarah from Saipua creates ever since The Makers Project profiled her work here. Recently, I stumbled across an incredible poppy red floral arrangement and it's completely shifted my thoughts when it comes to palette planning for the wedding. You may recall back in January, I was lovestruck with a clean, simple palette, soft whites and creams, complemented by lush greenery. I think this can still work but I'm loving that this little pop of red can add an element of surprise to this otherwise neutral palette. What do you think?

Wednesday

Old World Charm

Yes, I just made a Christmas reference in January. It might be taboo but Buddy the Elf with his stupid grin says it best. We're getting married and sometimes I think I still get a little giddy with excitement. On Saturday, we're heading off to The Wedding Co. show where I will likely drown myself in a whole lot of pretty. Even though we're more than a year away, we want to enjoy the process and take it nice and slow. We've got to start somewhere so on that note, wedding planning officially starts this weekend!

I need a bit of direction and an organized mind going into this so I spent my night sifting through folders and Pinterest boards to guide the way. Initial thoughts - I really like these images as inspiration; pretty without being frivolous, and formal without being too serious. What do you think?
